Additional army troops expected here

Aside from the two company-size Provincial Mobile Group which will be sent here in the province, another Regional Mobile Group (RMG) will arrive here. This was revealed by Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office Director Sr/Supt Augusto Marquez Jr at DYEM Energy FM Dumaguete Tonight.

According to Col. Marquez, members of the RMG will augment the military force in its campaign against insurgency. He said that wherever there are sightings of members of the New People’s Army, the RMG will be sent. He explained that there is outmost coordination and cooperation coming from the police to the members of the military in its campaign to eliminate the communist rebels.

Col. Marquez disclosed that due to the consecutive operations of the military against the reds in lieu of the reports of civilians, the NPA’s no longer stay in one area. He said that they are constantly moving in order not to be traced. This is the reason why there are several sightings of reds.
