Alleged NPA couriers nabbed

By virtue of a warrant of arrest, a united force of the police in Sibulan town headed by Senior Inspector Errol Garchitorena and members of the 302nd Brigade has captured two suspected couriers of the New People’s Army last Saturday morning at the Sibulan port.

In an interview over DYEM Energy FM Dumaguete Tonight, Senior Inspector Errol Garchitorena identified the suspects as Pedro Lumnta aka Ka George, 44 years old from Sevilla, Bohol and his live-in partner Lita Mahilum aka Joy and Belen, 41 years old from Katipunan, Labangon, Cebu City.

According to Senior Inspector Garchitorena, the 302nd Brigade based in Palanas, Tanjay City under Col. Cesar Yano handed the warrant of arrest for Lumantas which was issued by Judge Pariraga of Branch 25 in Danao City due to four charges of murder. The Chief of Police also disclosed that upon the inspection of the bags of the suspects, two grenades were found in Mahilum’s bag resulting to her arrest. Also found from their possession are letters, clothes and food stuffs placed in three bags.
