Dgte LGU backs natural family planning

Dumaguete City Mayor Agustin Perdices stood firm on his ground to follow the natural means of family planning.

Mayor Perdices remained firm on the stand of the local government to promote the natural way of family planning only. However, the mayor disclosed to the media that freedom should be given to the concerned individuals to decide what ever methods they wish to follow instead of being dictated by anybody else.

It can be recalled that the issue on family planning has become controversial because of the Catholic Church’s objection and description of the bill which aims to control the tremendous increase in population an “Abortion Bill”.

Despite the lawmakers’ reasoning that the bill is not an abortion bill, the Catholic Church pushed that only the natural means of family planning is what is only acceptable.
