Meniong Teves to name extortionists

DUMAGUETE CITY July 4 2007 12:30 a.m. --- Former Rep Herminio Teves vowed to name names of house extortionsits for the Commission on Appointments, if and when, there is as formal investigation.
This was in response to an irate former Rep. Jacinto Jing Paras who said Teves was just diverting attention from the beleaguered image of the finance department headed by his Son Gary.
He said the formal investigation will come in the form of a senate blue ribbon or a house inquiry; administrative inquest by Malacanang, or simply by the ombudsman if there will be a graft case filed. Otherwise, he said, he will refrain from naming the culprits under pain of Libel.
He wants to reveal the name during a formal inquiry covered by privilege communication.
Teves said that those howling baseless words against him and his sons are definitely feeling the pinch.
He said that a mad dog who is wrongly spanked will bark to no end because of what hit him. That too is the analogy of the current extortion story in the lower house.
He told his arc critic former Rep Jing Paras to make a formal complain and even an investigation so that the truth will set all people free.
