| Prov値 Prosecutor no jurisdiction in Bais The Provincial Prosecutor expressed no involvement in the failure of the appointment o a City Prosecutor in Guihulngan City.
The police, military, victims and other individuals expressed concern over the failure of appointing a City Prosecutor resulting to the enormous number of cases which are supposed to be filed.
In an interview over DYEM Energy FM Dumaguete Tonight, Provincial Prosecutor Diosdado Hermosa said that the city is under the Department of Justice. Therefore, the appointment lies on the DOJ and not the Provincial Prosecutor. He explained that those who are under his jurisdiction are only the municipalities. However, he said he will continue to contact the Regional State Prosecutor based in Cebu to consult the problem.
