Three NPA’s killed in latest encounter?

Three suspected members of the New People’s Army who were wounded in an encounter between the scout rangers of the 302nd Brigade in Sitio Bandera, Barangay Basak in San Jose town succumbed to death.

This was revealed by Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office Director Sr/Supt Augusto Marquez who was interviewed over DYEM Energy FM Dumaguete Tonight.

According to Col. Marquez, he received an intelligence report disclosing the death of the three wounded since they were not brought to the hospital. Col. Marquez said this is also the result of putting a blocking off force comprised of the police and the Philippine Army near the area where the encounter happened.

However, Col. Marquez disclosed that the dead bodies of the fatalities were not yet found so they are not yet a hundred percent sure if the report is true. At present, the police force remains at heightened alert.
