VP: No rice lands converted to housing sites

Vice President Noli De Castro made it clear that the only moratorium he is asking for the development of the subdivision is the rice lands. This he emphasized yesterday during his visit here in the province to inaugurate two low-cost housing projects, namely, Northville in Bolocboloc, Sibulan town and Bais Highlands in Tamisu, Bais City.

The Vice President disclosed that the two low0cost housing subdivisions are not located in a rice field and the moratorium he asked for is only the rice and irrigated lands. This means rice and irrigated lands cannot be converted to subdivision areas.
