NORSU and SU share
Library, Faculty assets
Just like a mutual student-teacher relationship, Dr. Henry Sojor of Negros Oriental State University and Dr. Ben Malayang III of Silliman University agreed to share academic resources for the two universities for the benefit of the students and the community, as Dr. Malayang is the former student of Dr. Sojor.
The two university presidents have recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement at the Silliman University Library for "educational enhancements exchanges" of their respective institutions.
The agreement says that the two institutions will share academic and research resources and even exchange faculty programs for the improvement of both.
Sojor and Malayang said that the agreement has sealed and created one academic community.
Malayang also said that even before, the Silliman University Library is not exclusive to Sillimanians alone but is open to all college students for academic enhancements.
“Dumaguete City should not just be known for a collection of Universities only,” Malayang added.
