City Mayor Agustin Perdices threatens to seek the help of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo if the construction of the Passengers Terminal inside the Dumaguete City port will still not be realized.

President Arroyo is expected to arrive in the city on October 29 and Perdices will report the delay of the Philippine Ports Authority in the construction of the passengers terminal if by that time the construction is still not started.

According to Mayor Perdices, the construction is already very delayed and he is in doubt if what is the reason behind when the bidding and awarding of the winning bidder has long been given and yet not even a shadow of the construction is visible.

Mayor Perdices added that Raul Santos of the PPA has assured that the construction will already start before the arrival of the President.

However, Perdices said that if the contractor will still not arrive, he will report the negligence of the PPA to the President.
