Motorcab Fare Increases

A public hearing on the Fixed Fare Rate for the motocycle cabs for hire is scheduled on Thursday at 2:15 in the afternoon in time for the city council’s regular session at the City Session Hall.

City Secretary Ramon Villarosa invites the public to attend the public hearing where the ordinance on the Fixed Fare Rate authored by Councilor Allan Cordova will be tackled.

The proposed ordinance amends the usual Php 6.50 fare on motorcabs to Php 7.00 and an additional Php.50 for every succeeding kilometer.

The fare adjustment is an answer to motorcab drivers’ plead of fare increase due to the continuous rise of the gasoline price.
