Villanueva: CDO was politically motivated
Bais City Mayor Hector Villanueva deserted the Cease and Desist Order issued by the National Water Resources Board on the city government saying that it was politically motivated.
Villanueva said even before the conceptualization of the water refilling station coming from the Mabunao Tina-an water source, several issues were already raised against him.
He added that for the alleged violation of water rights, they have long asked for a permit from the NWRB even before their operation started in 2003 but until now no response has been given.
The water refilling station was allocated for the indigent residents of the city who cannot afford to buy purified water especially those living in the coasts.
Villanueva also noted that the CDO issued from the Executive Director of NWRB has no board resolution.
