NegOr Orphan’s Choir
Impressed Pres. Arroyo
Inspired by a Josh Groban Concert, Negros Oriental Governor Emilio Macias organized a choir of children who revived the provincial hymn of Negros Oriental “ Sidlakang Negros”.
The children’s choir named VOX ORPHANORUM is composed of orphans from Casa Miani Arvedi for boys and Casa Cittadini for girls which are both managed by Somascan priests and nuns.
Vox Orphanorum or Voice of the Orphans choir, trained by musical expert Jeremiah Perez, wowed Chief Executive Officer Gloria Macapagal Arroyo during her visit in the province last Monday to keynote the opening of the i-TAX system launching.
The choir sang the national anthem, the doxology and some songs during the program at the Negros Oriental Convention Center.
With the talent of the young singers, President Arroyo assured her support for them.
