New Port to Rise in Bais
Economic Activities in Bais City, Oriental Negros will soon heighten as a new seaport will rise for a fast, better and immediate transportation from Cebu via RORO vessels.
Mayor Hector Villanueva of Bais City revealed that their proposal to the Philippine Ports Authority to build a seaport at their city has already been approved.
The construction of the project which is allocated with Php100 million will start early next year, says Villanueva.
The PPA has already conducted an on-site survey at Barangay Capiñahan, Bais City where the seaport will rise.
Mayor Villanueva said that the proposal for the port was long given and now the PPA will finally administer its construction with the coordination of the city government.
