KILLED IN COLD BLOOD IN BATINGUEL

Councilor Tony Remollo who claims to be one of the fiscalizers of the city council said that the investigation into the killing of the first political casualty in the October 29 barangay and SK elections should be thorough and conclusive. Remollo was referring to the Nelson Merced second councilor of Barangay Looc who was gunned down in Batinguel a few days or weeks after the October 29 barangay elections Merced was the first barangay officials killed post elections in Dumaguete City and the province. Merced has been a witness to so many durg raids that the city PNP and NBI. It was not immediately known what was the motive behind of his murder.
