MANHUNT ON FOR SUSPECTED FRENCH
CHILD ABUSER & ILLEGAL RECRUITER
Dumaguete City July 11 2007 - - - A French national eluded a police raiding team who swooped down on his residence in Mag-abo, Maluay Zamboanguita for alleged child abuse, molesting a female minor and illegal trafficking.
The child and minor victims are now in the custody of the Dept of Social Welfare under Alice Legarde.
Charged before RTC Judge Marie Rose Paras was Frenchman Patrick Chaffraix for alleged violation of Sec 4 RA 9208 or the anti-trafficking of persons Act of 2003 and for illegal possession of firearm.
Confiscated during the raid were 47 video discs, containing sex acts by minors, and several packs for negatives containing images of nude people doing sex.
Heading the manhunt by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Paras is PNP Zamboanguita chief Insp Donald Gadingan.
