Sibulan to close obscene establishments
Sibulan Vice-mayor Manuel Diputado identified an amusement house which portrays obscene shows that is being considered to be closed.
Vice-mayor diputado named the amusement house as “Jackpot”.
According to him, the Sangguniang Bayan of Sibulan received complaints about the obscene shows done by young ladies seen at the said amusement house.
After receiving such complaints, they directed the police to check and investigate on the matter. Upon the investigation, authorities found out that the establishment infringed the ordinance of Sibulan.
Because of this, the council recommended closing the establishment to Mayor Antonio Renacia but until yesterday the recommendation done was still no executed said Vice-mayor Diputado.
In DYEM Energy Fm’s Dumaguete Tonight, many have sent text messages criticizing the existence of several establishments at Sibulan town which shows indecent and obscene shows when the town is known as a religious town and, in fact, St. Joseph’s Seminary and the Sisters of Carmelites are located in the same town.
The Vice-mayor admitted that these have brought bad reputation of their blessed town and they are already doing appropriate actions in eliminating the matter.
