Delinquent Taxpayers to receive warrants of levy
The City Treasurer is now preparing the warrants of levy against delinquent Real Property Taxpayers.
City Treasurer Cristina Merced disclosed that they have already issued several notices but the concerned individuals continued to ignore their notices.
She disclosed that 30 out of 50 delinquent taxpayers have already settled their accounts.
Merced said that those who will not settle their notices would mean a waiver from the taxpayer and an auction sale of the property will be right away executed.
The local government of Dumaguete is expecting to collect 5 million pesos from the first batch of delinquent real property taxpayers. The notices of tax delinquencies will be made known to the public as the warrants of levy will be issued.
