Frustrated murder suspect nabbed;
Illegally cut trees confiscated
A man facing charges of frustrated murder was nabbed by the Ayungon police which is headed by PO1 Luven delos Santos.
Arrested was Alfredo Benlot, 59 years old and a resident of Barangay Anibong, Ayungon town. Benlot was arrested by virtue of the warrant of arrested issued by Judge Esmael Baldado of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 45 in the city of Bais.
A bail of P200, 000 is suggested for his temporary freedom.
Meanwhile, a truck full of logs was intercepted by the Mabinay Police along with authorities from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
The Isuzu Cobra truck nabbed is owned by a one Rap Kadusale of Manjuyod and is operated by Jose Demecillo of Barangay Dagbasan, Mabinay. The truck was intercepted at Barangay Lumbanagan of the same town. The driver was not able to show papers permitting them to cut and transport the logs.
The truck is now impounded at the Mabinay Police Station while the logs were confiscated by the DENR.
