Coconut kills daughter, mother wounded
A mother and her daughter met a very tragic incident last Sunday afternoon after a coconut tree fall upon them resulting to the daughter’s untimely demise.
SPO4 Noel Pis-an identified the victim who died as Regine Deposoy, 13 years old while her mother who is seriously hurt is one Lalaine Deposoy who are both residents of Tubtubon, Sibulan town.
According to SPO4 Pis-an, the victims were in the basketball court attending a soap demonstration when a coconut tree suddenly fell upon them. They were immediately brought to a private hospital in Dumaguete City but the daughter was badly hurt that the 13s-yaer-old girl died. SPO4 Pis-an said that the land might have soften due to the constant rains last Sunday which caused the coconut tree to fall.
