Reclamation Project to start construction
The contractor Gelac which will impose the 1.5-hectare reclamation project t the port has already secured an Environmental Compliance Certificate. This was revealed by Renato Tolinero, Port Manager of the Philippine Ports Authority here who conversed with the press.
According to Tolinero, the heavy equipment of the contractor is already starting to arrive. He added that within two years it is expected that the reclamation project would already be finished for an additional berthing space at the port. Tolinero also disclosed that the passengers’ terminal which is now under construction will be completed next year.
