Diarrhea outbreak stopped; 1 inmate dies
The Diarrhea outbreak in Guihulngan City is already neutralized after the number of its cases decreased. This was found out by DYEM Energy FM Dumaguete Tonight from Guihulngan District Hospital Chief Dr. Edgardo Pialago.
According to Dr. Pialago, no more additional patients were recorded for experiencing diarrhea. In fact, the hospital is no longer crowded with diarrhea patients unlike the prior weeks. He said that they are continuously educating the constituents, especially those in the secluded and hinter barangays, on how to prevent diarrhea. They keep on telling the people to boil their drinking water especially if its source is the well or spring.
On the other hand, a prisoner of the Guihulngan City Jail succumbed to death because of diarrhea. However, Dr. Pialago disclosed that the reason could not be their drinking water since the other inmates were not affected. The fatality was identified as Isidro Quisaot, 51 years old who is a native of La Libertad town.
