TeleTech, DB parents to face city council
Concerned parents, officials of Saint Louis School-Don Bosco, representatives from TeleTech and concerned government agencies will face the city council this afternoon for the question hour during their regular session.
This is to tackle the complaints coming from the parents of students from Don Bosco regarding the alleged health hazard brought about by the cooling towers of TeleTech which is attached to the school’s wall and their generator is also placed just meters away from the school’s classrooms.
The generators are allegedly emitting fumes and are creating noise pollution in the area.
According to Vice-Mayor Woodrow Maquiling, presiding officer of the council, at DYEM Energy FM Dumaguete Tonight, aside from the emission of fumes and the moise brought about by the generators, they also emit bad odor. Maquiling said he found this out during his ocular inspection to the school and to TeleTech. Due to this, he called upon the concerned individuals in order to create a solution to the problem.
