PHINO launched today
The Provincial Health Insurance Negros Oriental (PHINO) will be formally launched this morning.
During the event, the health covenant signing between Governor Emilio Macias II, Chairman of the Board, and PHINO Management Chief Dr. Ely Villapando will also take place. Also to join in the health covenant signing are the mayors of the different towns who are interested to adopt PHINO.
However, according to Adrian Sedillo, Public Information Officer of he Capitol, said that the municipalities and component cities who will participate in the PHINO will only be made known this morning. The conduct of PHINO needs the counterpart contribution of the local government unit and the provincial government. It is expected that about 100, 000 indigent residents of the province could benefit in the said insurance.
Instead of a Memorandum of Agreement, they have agreed to sign a health covenant since this will be the effect of the love and passion to help the indigents of the province. The signing of the health covenant and the launching of PHINO will be held at Bethel Guest House.
