Discount For Advance Tax Payers

A 15 % discount will be given to those who give advance payment for real property taxes for the year 2008 in the city of Dumaguete, reveals City Treasurer’s Office in-charge, Cristina Merced if the properties taxed are without delinquencies.
This is one of the city government’s varieties of measures in order to increase its tax collection efficiency.
Aside from the 15 percent discount for advance tax payers, the city has also enforced the contractor’s fees and plans to upgrade the basic land valuation in the city.
To those who are delinquent in their responsibilities,in pursuant to Section 258 of Republic Act 7160, the Dumaguete City Treasurer’s office is ready to issue warrants of levy against delinquent properties in the city in which the owners failed to settle their delinquent accounts after they were given several notices.
