No More NPAs at Tamlang Valley
There is no more presence of the rumored more than 60 members of the New People’s army at Tamlang Valley says Sr. Supt. Omar Buenafe, Police Provincial Director.
Buenafe confirmed that there are no more sightings of the alleged armed men in the area who are coming from Bohol.
Supt. Buenafe believes that the alleged NPA members escaped after a report of their presence was notified.
Earlier, it was reported that there are 66 armed members from the NPA from Bohol that arrived at Tamlang Valley to convince the farmers not to plant jathropa in the area.
Tamlang Valley is the proposed area for the jathropa plantation which is said to alleviate the country’s independence from imported fuel.
