BOMB BLAST.
THE ENTIRE FILIPINO NATION has condemned the bombing of the south wing of the house of representastives building in that those who perpetuated the dastardly act was one that depicted their cowardice and treachery in their manner of attaining their nefarious missioin.
Based on initial investigation, the bomb blast was a remotely detonated explosive which could have been triggered by a cell phone from a distance.
Negros orienta third district cong henry pryde teves, probably one o the youngest neophyte legislators was among the victims of the blast even as two of his staff were also wounded namely teresita Garcia technical staff and maan bustanillo who was SAID to be initially in bad condition.
Cong henry teves was wounded in the face, arms and one leg. He was rushed to the new era hospital and later transferred to the st luke hospital l in quezon city.
There is that persistent report that the lone target of the assasins was basilan cong whab akhbar who reportedly may have been suspected by the marine corps as having been partly if not mainly responsible in the july 10 2007 beheading of l4 marines in tippo=-tippo area in basilan.
Also cong akhbar denies this, he is reported to be sysmpathetic to the abu sayaf and is now the object of ire by the marine corps.
We find the bombing of the batasasn as omnous of something worse that might come, because this is the first time that a legislastive building anywhere in the world has been bombed.
Somehow the investigastion must collar the suspects and that congress must meet immediately so as not t sned the wrong signasl that we as a country canot be intimidated.
