Filipinos soon to enjoy Cheap Medicines
A great Christmas present awaits the Filipino nation if the Cheap Medicine Bill passes on its second reading at the House of Representatives, said Rep Josy Limkaichong of the 1st district.
Limkaichong anticipated that the Cheap Medicine Bill will pass on its second reading before Christmas since slight revisions are only needed for its approval.
According to Limkaichong, the congressmen want to execute certain changes on the Generic Act and the Intellectual Property rights while some representatives opposed on the creation of a Drug Regulation Board under the law.
Limkaichong added that the minority is scheduled to address their proposed amendments on the matter and a session is done today at the House of Representatives regarding the Cheap Medicine Bill.
