City Agri queries to end next year yet!
The inquiry done by the investigative committee on the anomalies at the City Agriculture’s Office will be finished by next year yet.
According to Human Resource Officer Ruperto Tenorio Jr., is the chairman of the investigative committee, they are faced with 5 irregularity issues at the City agriculture’s Office which need to be investigated thoroughly.
These include the anomalous transaction of selling the tractors of the office which were allegedly damaged, selling of the farm implaments, non-remittance of the city farmstead income to the City Treasurer’s Office, the “Grow now Pay Later” program and the “Plant now Pay Later” plan.
Under the two programs, there are allegations that instead of depositing the funds to a public bank or to the city treasurer’s office, the money is deposited to a private cooperative.
Tenorio said that with the five anomalous issues, only the first one was done with the investigations and inquiry.
However, Tenorio refused to reveal the result of their inquiry regarding the issue of selling the alleged damaged tractors.
Tenorio clarified that their committee is different from the Committee on Good Governence and Public Ethics which was already done with their investigation on the different issues because they will still take a longer time in their queries because they will conduct a deeper and wider span of the issues.
Tenorio added that the investigation would not be easy since they are tasked to do a recommendation to the city mayor on who deserves to be punished if ever there was really an irregularity.
The committee will commend administration complaints against the suspects based on their queries.
