Remollo proposes ‘no fly zone’ in city
Disturbed by the chain of aircraft crash landings lately in different parts of the country, Councilor Tony Remollo has proposed to make the densely populated area in Dumaguete City a ‘No fly zone’.
This means disallowing light aircrafts manipulated by aeronautic students to fly above the restricted area.
Some members of the city council who are also law practitioners are doubtful with the proposal since they are not sure wheter local government units has the right to regulate the aerial concerns of it. The Air Transportation Office has control over the matter, they believed.
