NPA couriers remain at Prov’l Police
The two suspected members of the New Peoples’s Army who were nabbed last Saturday wherein one is facing four charges of murder are still detained at the Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office.
According to Col. Cesar Yano, 302nd Brigade Commander based in Palanas, Tanjay City, they have already filed illegal possession of explosives complaint against suspects Pedro Lumantas and Lita Mahilum. Two grenades were allegedly confiscated from the suspects but the two strongly denied the allegations.
Although the two have already admitted their involvement with the New People’s Army, charges of rebellion were not yet filed against them.
