Ayungon PNP to get lot soon
The Local Government Unit of Ayungon is already looking for a vacant lot which will be donated to the Philippine National Police to which will raise their new police station. This was revealed by Ayungon Mayor Erwin Agustino.
Mayor Agustino said he wishes the police in his town to have their own police headquarters.
It can be recalled that under Negros Oriental Provincial Police Director Sr/Supt Augusto Marquez has encouraged all local government units in the province to donate even just an area of 500 square meter lot and it is already up to the PNP to build their edifice. This would be just like what happened in Bais City where the PNP allocated more or less ten million peso budget for the police headquarters after the LGU donated the piece of land.
Mayor Agustino said he wants to make use of the program.
On the other hand, Mayor Agustino has requested the National Police Commission to send more police officers in his town. However, the mayor disclosed that their municipality remains to be peaceful and orderly. But, according to him, it would be better if they have a greater number of police officers.
