A former President of the Integrated Bar chapter here Atty Joel Obar who is also former dean of the College of Law of Foundatin Unviersity, has been accepted as legal consultant for good governments at one peso a year , by the committee of the same name in the city legislature.



The committee on good governments, which is the bulwark of honest public service and ethical behavior of government personnel is a delicate department which needs legal advices.

Fortunately, its chair Kag. Tony Remollo who asked Atty Obar to do the job, accepted it as his public service, and his advocacy in promoting clean governance.

Obar is also a columnist in the Negros Chronicle. He will shortly be hearing the complaints of conflict of interest in the city administrator as accused by the city vice mayor.—30--
