Development around the twin lakes

The new viewing deck hovering on top the ridge between the two lakes.
You either have to cross by boat to reach the opposite bank of the lake or walk all your way following the trail on the fringes of the lake.







There are few of this build around the lake a good disguise for a toilet.




A restaurant which they are building now,just on top of the lake.So bad just making way of it they cleared away some vegetations/trees that partly supports the ecosystem over the twin lakes.Then there are these two big boats on its way.When I queried one of the builders he said ,they gonna have those two floating over the lake soon which really appalled me, can't believe how stupid people can be .Imagine those two boats around the lake,what a sore in the eye, they are as big as those that cross from sibulan to Samboan . If true ,soon the twin lakes known for its captivating natural charm would inevitably soon loose it because of the fast development planned and designed by some greedy bastards.

for me this is not the way how to attract tourist, i used to be in balinsasayaw every summer when i was still studying, i have appreciated the lake when it was not touch, too bad, they were not able to think of better way to attract hikers or tourist.

Exactly shakoy ,their ecotourism propaganda is slowy slipping away out of greed for more revenues ,its money ,money,money and more money. It sacrifices serene nature and beauty of the area which is the selling point .I am sure such restaurant will do it's purpose but it largely compromises the lakes' ecosystem. It's human activities again creeping to invade the lakes. I am not against the idea of a restaurant had they constructed it a distance away ,not as close by the entrance point to the lake. Just my guess , within the time span of 10 yrs ,there might possibly strings of accomodations or even hotels dotted along the area ,cutting trees giving way to human greed .I thought the area is protected or as a nature reserve, nothing like any heavy construction be done in its premises .Now the picture is changing .This isn't the end,but the beginning of the worst to come to our nature's legacy ,the twin lakes.



I had been to the twin lakes sevaral times .But my first one was around 1988 ,during the trekkers club of Mr Chiong of Silliman.And we hiked from the highway of San Jose up to the lakes. After the last village you have to follow a faint trail overgrown with wild rambling vines , shrubs and grass . You need to cut some out to clear the path and on coz few ahed of you hadn't done it well enough ,and this goes on down to the lakes .That's what I call kind of adventure .It's like visiting something looking similar to one in the Jurassic park ,only there was no dino or man eating t-rex. It's like a place forgotten or out of civilization ,and where the magic plays .The thought of the old twin lakes can still mesmerize ones imaginations of something mystical and wild . Now we are gradually loosing our nature's treasure . Soon people will book dinners or lunches in the twin lakes . Character of pinoys puera sa mga maayu ug batasan , na known na gyud tang mga suhirang dagko .Kon na-ay nag tinda ug banana que sa kalye,pagka sunud simana atbangan sab na ug laing nagbaligya ug banana que , pag ka 5 ka bulan hangtud hapit tanan nag baligya ug banana que .Perhaps 5 -10 -15 yrs from now there'll be like disco or restobars out there.Kind of mountain resort dotted with hotels,even another convention centre ...another busy tourist resort ? I hope this is only but a bad dream.

before makaingon gyud kung ang lake was really worth walking, from highway lala-an to lake, but right now, pwede naka magsakay ug 4wd na mga sakyanan, kay ila na gipagam-aon dalan dako, they destroyed the vegetations along the trail towards the lake, ang they even cemented some parts where it was dificult for vehicle to pass. wala nay angay kay wala nay challenge sa paglakaw

Tinu-ud na gi storya ni shakoy jaz nga okies na kaayu ang dalan pa ingun sa twin lakes .Bisan gani mag motor lang.Pag adtu namo 2004,naa gani mga bayung-bayung nag mountain bikes lang ngilngig sab tu kaayu sila.Dli preha late 80's nga kalasangan pa.I'll post some more pics later .

I wish unta na-ay mag develop anang hot spring sa puhagan, Valencia kay it can be a potential money spinner,you can make a small hot spring resort didtu,with warm dipping pool + massage and spa .Naa may hot spring nga mga 40 oC lang ang water temp,pero wala lang tingali naka hunahuna develop diha dapita.The can convert similar that same area like Mambucal in Murcia.

ok kaayo nang hotsprings sa pahugan, asa man ato ang imong naadtoan, kay ang akong usual na kaligoan kato atbang sa N3 na gate sa Drill site sa PNOC,kato manaog sa ka bakilid na may mga payag gagmay tindahan dool sa dalan, imabaw sa ilang main office, mga relatives man gud nako nang nagpuyo diha dool maong diha ko sige ug ligo, naa man pud inta hotspring sa palinpinon lang, pero mas tsada tong didto puhagan kay kusug ang source sa tubig.

Kanang sa puhagan tsada kaayung agas sa tubig,unahan pa sa kabalayan na-ay hot spring diha nga lami kaayu kaligu-an,naa sa interior. Shakoy inig develop nimo ana free ra mi mga membro sa NC forum hahahaha .Sa mambucal ,ilang gihimong gamay rang swimming pool,ang hot spring,lamia didtu ihulom bisan gabii pa kay init ang tubig.Ang entrance fee tag P50 .Naa say ilang normal swimming pool,naa giapon entrance fee,tsada uy.I'll try 2 post pics later ma organize ko dri for everyone to hv some idea what i'm ranting about.
