For possession of illegal drugs, he was given a verdict of 12-14 years of imprisonment and a fine of Php 300, 000.
Last July 3, 2005, Sayson was arrested by the National Bureau of Investigation for selling two sachets of shabu to an agent who went undercover as buyer.
The confiscated packs of shabu totaled to 10 grams and while the convict was brought into the NBI station for interrogation, the authorities caught him getting something from his pocket.
Upon the NBI’s examination, another four sachets of shabu were found from his pocket weighing .27 grams.
