Parents face raps in Cybersex raid
Here is a lesson for parents who tolerate the wrong doings of their children.
The women’s and children’s desk of the Dumaguete City police will possibly file legal charges against the parents of the minors who were rescued by the authorities in a raid which was conducted at a cyber sex den last Thursday night.
This was found out by DYEM Energy FM Dumaguete Tonight from a reliable source from the said office.
Earlier, in an interview with Dumaguete Tonight, one of the minors admitted that her parents know the nature of her job here in the city when she was recruited by Liza Jimena, one of the alleged operators of the suspected cyber sex den.
The three suspected operators, namely, Liza Jimena, Nestor Dumapit and Marivic Teves were already charged with Anti-Trafficking in Persons because of their alleged recruitment of the minors.
During further investigations and questioning with the rescued minors, some of them confirmed that their parents indeed know of the nature of their jobs.
Because of this, the authorities are studying the possible charges which could be filed against the parents of the minors due to their negligence as parents.
According to the source, the parents of the rescued minors have already been contacted but their daughters were not yet turned over to them. The minors’ location was not disclosed for their security.
