Couple robbed, killed by own helpers
They are indeed violent. A couple was robbed and murdered last Saturday afternoon in Barangay Pinam-agan, Bais City.
Police Inspector Edilberto Deocadis, Deputy Chief of Police in Bias City who was interviewed over DYEM Energy FM Dumaguete Tonight, identified the victims as Cesar Matillano, 49 years old and his wife, Josephine Matillano, 45 who are in the venture of animal business. The couple resides in Barangay Basak, Bais City.
Two suspects were already nabbed who are identified as Dionisio Erames and Aldrin Dinglasa, 23 years old. Confiscated from the two were the murder weapon which was still covered with blood, a bolo, a caliber 38 pistol with 6 live ammunitions and a fan knife.
Inspector Deocadis narrated that at around 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon, the couple asked the suspects who were also their trusted helpers to accompany them to Barangay Pinam-agan to purchase pigs. However, when they arrived at a distant and deserted area, without a word, the suspects stabbed the victims to several parts of their bodies. A cash amounting to more than P14, 000 was taken by the suspects.
Inspector Deocadis added that Josephine was still able to run and ask for help as she was not so badly wounded. She was even the one who has disclosed the identity of the suspects who did the crime. However, because of the distance Josephine ran, she lost great amount of blood. Josephine was still brought to the hospital but succumbed to death afterwards.
Her husband was also found at the crime scene lying lifeless. According to Inspector Deocadis, one of the suspects Aldrin Dinglasa is on probation because of a murder case. Charges of illegal possession of fire arms was initially filed against the two and more charges will be raise against them today. The two are presently under the custody of the Bais City Police Station.
