NORECO 2 MIGHT AGAIN SNUB
CITY COUNCIL INVITATION
As in the past Noreco 2 might again snub the city council of dumaguete which body has invited the rural electric power distributor to explain why a series of brown outs as often as seven times in one day has recurred these days.
Noreco 2 explained that some transformer has been destroyed and is already fixed by manila technicians.
However, the city council would like to be enlightend today in its session, whether or not the so-called global warning has affected the geothermal distribution and production in Negros ZOriental which is also providing power for Cebu and Panay islands.
Noreco 2 has often snubbed the city council invoking lack of jurisdiction, citing a supreme court ruling.
However, the city council said that it is morally incumbent upon Noreco 2 to explain why the BROWNOUTS before its 24,000 consumers in dumaguete service areas. –30-
