SWAT to assist maintain city peace and order
Members of the Special Weapons and Tactics group from the 705th Provincial Mobile Groups are expected to assist the city police in maintaining peace and order here during the commemoration of the 107th Founders Day Celebration of Silliman University.
Starting next week, the university will already hold several activities in connection to its celebration. Lots of visitors coming from abroad are anticipated to arrive and grace the events.
Col. Augusto Marquesz, Jr., Provincial Director of the Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office, said they are strengthening the police force here to maintain peace and order as the Buglasan festival is about to take place in October.
Marquez disclosed that a police outpost has been installed at the Sidlakang Negros Village to ensure safety and peace for the provincial event.
