VALENCIA SETTLES FOR RELIGIOUS AND WHOLESOME FIESTA ACTIVITIES
Due to increase in incidents of thievery and other petty crimes, Valencia Mayor Rodolfo Gonzales ,together with the fiesta directorate committee ,decided to ban all “ukay-ukay” and “peryahan” establishments in their town for their coming fiesta celebration.
Gonzales adds that “peryahan” is not only a venue for gambling activities but can also discourage the entry of tourists in the town for this can affect health, sanitation and traffic problems.
The town’s decision regarding this matter was attained after a thorough deliberation and they have decided to concentrate on religious activities during their annual fiesta celebration.
The town is also conducting wholesome activities for the whole family.
