Dumaguete City businessmen have expressed concern over the series of fire incidents happening on business establishments in the city.
The blazes that happened are alleged to be done by burglars who then burn the business establishments as a cover-up of the crime.
Robbery with Arson is heavily considered since based on the Fire Department’s report, similar patterns are observed in the fire blazes that happened lately.
Businessmen are then alarmed due to their concern that their establishments could be next.
Fernando Martinez, President of the Peace and Order Council, requests the manning of barangay tanods on areas where business establishments are located.
Business owners are also advised to strengthen their security measures to prevent such incidents.
