Macias warns mayors on stray dogs
Governor Emilio Macias II caught the attention of the mayors all over the province to discuss with them the problem on stray dogs.
Macias said he has observed several stray dogs upon his visits on the different towns and cities of Negros Oriental.
The Governor ordered that the ordinances and local laws regarding stray dogs must be strictly followed to reduce or totally eliminate the cases of rabid dog bites.
However, he also articulated that the laws regarding animal welfare act must also be considered in their implementation of such laws.
Capitol Veterinarian Dr. Antonio Mutia also said that he was already able to inform the town and city veterinarians of the province about the ordinances on stray dogs.
