Teachers probed for illegal drug using
There is an on-going surveillance conducted by police authorities to the teachers of the different colleges and universities in the province who are allegedly engaged in illegal drugs.
Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office Director Sr/Supt Melvin Ramon Buenafe admitted that they received several reports about university professors who are users of illegal drugs. He pointed out that not only Silliman University, which two of its faculty were recently nabbed for using illegal drugs, but also the other colleges and universities were there are allegedly teachers who are drug users themselves.
However, Col Buenafe refused to name these institutions. He explained that they are monitoring these mentors in order to protect the students from these teachers who are bad influences.
