Rice distribution anomalies happen here
Close monitoring of the delivery of NFA rice is being acted upon by the National Food Authority in order to ensure that these supplies would really arrive to the market. The entry and disposal of NFA rice is closely watched from the accredited outlets all over the province to ensure that no anomalies are happening.
The said action is based upon the order of the National Food Security Central Office which mandates the personnel of NFA to escort the shipment of the rice to the accredited outlets like the Bigasan ni Gloria sa Palengke, Tindahan Natin and Handog sa Parokya.
The NFA local office clarified that the allegations of anomalies regarding the distribution of rice here in the province are true. Monitoring teams are deployed by the NFA which will roam and inspect the establishments to check and investigate if repacking of the NFA rice and other anomalies are being done.
The NFA rice only costs P18.25 per kilo while the commercial rice is already near to P40.00 per kilo.
The local NFA office assured that if anybody suspects the repacking of NFA, he can immediately bring a sample of the rice to their office or call telephone numbers 225-2823, 422-1731 or 225-6522.
