Police gathers Bloods, Crips names
The Dumaguete City Police has already started gathering the names of members of the rival gangs Bloods and Crips.
According to Supt. Leopoldo Cabanag, Dumaguete City Chief of Police, if they complete the names of the members of these gangs, they would furnish copies to officials of their respective schools so that they could call the attention of the parents of these youths especially the minors. Cabanag said they will not exempt anybody even if they be sons or daughters of prominent people.
Members of Bloods are allegedly coming from rich families while members from Crips are of the lower level. Most of the Bloods members study in private schools while those of Crips in public schools.
However, during the Peace Advocates meeting, officials and representatives from educational institutions assured that they will help assist in the campaign to stop the rivalry and warring of the two gangs.
PO3 Edilberto Euraoba, Spokesperson of the Provincial Police, said the school administrators will call the attention of the parents. In fact, he said, they are only waiting for the list so that they could start calling the parents.
