Gov Assures support to police’ Free Legal Assistance
NAPOLCOM Regional Director Atty. Bernardo Calibo said last night that he has met with Governor Emilio Macias II who assured him of support in the drive of the National Police Commission to extend free legal assistance to harassed police officers.
At the same time, the Regional Director also welcomed the move of the city government in creating the city legal assistance office which has already backed up NAPOLCOM with enough legislation and only needs funding before it can be operational.
Calibo stressed that while NAPOLCOM prosecutes bad policemen, it also would like to extend help, along with IBP for harassed police officers.
