P4 M budget for sports approved
The province of Negros Oriental has already approved the nearly P4 million pesos budget intended for the Philippine Olympic Elimination Festival, Regional Qualifying Games this coming July 23 to 27.
This was revealed by Adrian Sedillo, Public Information Officer of the Provincial Government who was interviewed over DYEM Energy FM Dumaguete Tonight Saturday Edition.
Athletes coming from Regions 6, 7 and 8 will participate in the said sports competition. According to Sedillo, everything is already in place including the housing of the delegates.
The delegation coming from the province will be housed at the Dumaguete City High School while the others will be placed at Negros Oriental High School, west City Elementary School, North City or Piapi Elementary School and at Negros Oriental State University.
On the other hand, Governor Emilio Macias II has ordered all local government units in the province to open their respective booths at the Sidlakang Negros Village during the Visayas Olympic Elimination Festival.
