Distributed free Bais water positive w/ ecoli bac?
Bais City Mayor Tata Villanueva snobs the allegation saying that the ozonized water distributed by the city government of Bais is positive with ecoli bacteria.
Mayor Villanueva disclosed in an interview over DYEM Energy FM Dumaguete Tonight that he is suspicious as to where the water sample was taken. He said he was not even informed regarding the inspection of the ozonized water.
Earlier, the Bais City Water District questioned the distribution of free ozonized water by the city government which the supply is taken from a river without a permit. In fact, the water district, through its manager Irish Ivan Acas, complained to the Office of the President.
A reliable source from the Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital Diagnostic Center Clinical Laboratory revealed that the water sample that they examined turned out to be positive with ecoli bacteria.
According to the source, who requested anonymity, the Bais City Water District requested for the examination of the water. Mayor Villanueva, on his part, questioned the source of the water sample. He said he should have been informed of such inspection.
