Guihulngan Prosecutor sits on September 1
Newly appointed Guihulngan City Prosecutor Officer-In-Chrage Constantino Trinidad will assume office yet in September 1.
Base on the Department Order 524 of the Department of Justice signed by Justice Secretary Raul Gonzales dated August 5, Prosecutor Trinidad is appointed as the new OIC. It has been more than two months now that Guihulngan City has no Prosecutor.
In an interview over DYEM Energy FM Dumaguete Tonight with Prosecutor Trinidad, he disclosed that he will formally assume office in September 1 still. He said this is because it is yet essential for him to file a Motion for Relief and other motions for the cases he handled in the third district. Prosecutor Trinidad explained that he can not easily leave the cases he has been handling.
Prosecutor Trinidad disclosed that he will formally assume office in September 1 after he has sworn in front of the Regional State Prosecutor Fernando Gubalane based in Cebu. RSP Gubalane will arrive in Guihulngan City on the same date.
Guihulngan City Mayor Ernesto Reyes said he is pleased that the problem on the absence of a City Prosecutor which has long been disturbing them is finally solved.
