Police Intensifies Security
For President Arroyo
Negros Oriental Police Office urges the public to cooperate with the law enforcers in maintaining peace and order in their places as they brace up for this coming synchronized Barangay and SK elections in time for President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s visit in the province.
Senior Supt. Melvin Buenafe, Provincial Police Director admits that they are doubling security measures in the province especially because the President is visiting this coming Monday and he has ordered all chiefs of police to stay alert.
Sightings of armed men in the hinterlands of the province have been reported and the Provincial police has been investigating about this especially that they are coordinating with the 61st Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army.
