City Gov’t Supports Anti-Gang War Campaign
The city government has its all-out support for the police authorities, including their campaign against Gang Wars.
City Police Chief Supt. Dionardo Carlos has earlier threatened the members of the warring gangs “Bloods” and “Crips” to arrest them if they continue to squabble within their gangs because the two groups have disregarded the peace pact that they have signed.
According to Supt. Carlos, the city government and the police were serious during the signing of the peace pact yet was only ignored by the concerned warring gangs.
City Administrator Engr. Dominador Dumalag Jr. admitted that there was a commotion last Dumaguete Fiesta brought about by the conflict of “Bloods” and “Crips” that busted the patience of the police authorities who then threatened to arrest any member of the gang that infringes the law.
Engr. Dumalag said that the city government will respect any action that will be taken by the city police to stop the two groups from bringing trouble in the city.
